New location for the Sound of Salzburg Dinner Show

Moving into history.

Since the year 2000 the Sound of Salzburg Dinner Show was located at the Sternbräu restaurant. With the beginning of the 2014 season, the show will move it’s stage to an even more traditional site. The K+K Restaurants am Waagplatz, which was first mentioned in the year 1181, is located right in the center of the historical district. Built over 800 years ago, the landmarked site harbors an ancient arched cellar with an unaltered medieval ambiance.

A taste of Austria… and The Sound of Music

With room for 100 guests, the cellar is spacious and offers an imposing scene for the Sound of Music singers, who will perform live every evening. Before the start of each show, the K+K Restaurants am Waagplatz will serve a three or four course meal, which allows you to bond with Austrian tradition to an even greater extent! A variety of typical dishes will give you an unbiased impression and taste of the Austrian culinary art.

A typical evening in Salzburg

The Sound of Salzburg Show is a feature-length experience. For guests who opted for the Dinner & Show ticket, the evening starts at 7.30pm with the first course and live piano music. With all the meals finished, the actual show begins at 8.30pm (doors open at 8.00pm for Show only guests) and lasts till approximately 10.00pm. You want to combine the visit to our show with some sightseeing? Since the K&K Restaurant is located in the heart of the historical district a guided city walk (1 hour, certified guide) through the city before entering the show is very much recommended. The famous cathedral and the Mozart square are just a few meters away.
